Small zoo outside of downtown Duluth offers a fun getaway for families.. In Short
The facility has one small building with fairly common animals that will fascinate children (snakes, chinchillas, gila monsters, etc.). Walk the Australia Outback trail to spot kangaroos, black swans and emu. The Northern Territory contains animals Minnesotians may have spotted in their backyards. To see the zoo's real crowd pleasers, head to the Polar Shores to watch a pair of polar bears frolicking in their pool.
