Setting the record straight. I have consigned with Dannie since she opened, and as a woman, I am in awe of what she has accomplished. I love shopping there too. I don't even have to put the clothes away-she does all the work! You have to see the incredible designer names at unheard of prices. As a consigner, I trust her, as the expert, to know how to price things so they sell. It's her bread and butter so she will price them right. I personally enjoy her company when I am at her shop. If you are in Duluth, don't miss her store. Lots of parking, the dressing rooms are nice, great jazz music, and of course, wonderful clothes at great prices! I have read the negative reivews; remember that some people would complain about paying taxes on winning a million dollars too.

GREAT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE!!!. I LOVE shopping at Dannie-Duluth! I have always found Dannie to be very friendly and helpful as I made my selections. I have purchased beautiful quality suits, casual separates, and evening wear along with purses and other accessories, many of which are by prominent designers. I have also sold clothing at Dannie's, and the process is quick and easy. Thank goodness for a shop like this; I don't know what I would do without it!

I love this store!. It has a great selection of clothing I like at prices I like even more! I've had fun consigning my clothes and liked getting a check in the mail for things I would just have given away otherwise. This is one store I keep coming back to!

DON'T GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS STORE!. I had always liked shopping at Dannie Duluth, until I went in yesterday not as a customer, but as a consigner. The owner was downright rude to me, and I am now regretting leaving my clothing with her in the first place.

If you are going to consign clothing there, MAKE SURE TO GO TO THE WEBSITE, otherwise you will get no help from the owner when you bring in your clothing. I did not realize I needed to hang my clothing up in order for it to be considered, and she made me lug all of it back out and then hang all of it up IN MY CAR. That is not friendly service in my opinion. I also had some questions about the consigning process, and she replied to me, "I do not have time to answer these types of questions. You need to go to the website, and you'll find the answers there." In my opinion, shop websites should be used as tools, not the only means of communication between shop owner and customers/consigners.

In short, I regret not having told off this ROYAL B*%#H in front of other customers and leaving without consigning a thing. It would have been far more gratifying donating it all to grateful people than to help this pompous woman out in her business.

Terrible Place to do business. I brought in a dooney purse on consignment, I made it clear that this purse was not to be sold under 150.00 because it was valued at 400.00. She agreed, I received a check for almost nothing, when I called the owner she was rude,Yelled at me for questing her, then she hung up on me. She charged me .75 to issue a check... Never told about that either!! Then she told me I wasn't allowed back in her store!!! WOW!! What a nightmare, This is the 1st time I ever sold anything!! I will never be back this lady is a cheat and lier, Please don't trust her!!!! Don't shop at her store....

Decent Clothes, Terrible Owner. I have never been so appalled at the level of service I received at a store. The owner, Danielle Jelinski, seems to think because she sells used Chanel that she is better than those who would purchase it. Don't even bother trying something on, she'll chase you out of the dressing room, don't waste your time asking questions for she will belittle you, and don't shop there to begin with... chances are an encounter with her will ruin you day. The service here leaves you feeling rushed, upset, "less than", like you did something wrong, and flat out violated. I don't know how she stays in business! It's as if the wicked witch of the west landed in Duluth's East Hillside. I know she must ride a broom home at night. Don't bother shopping here anytime soon!

Owner is a royal b***h. This was my second time today shopping there. It was also the second time we were told at quarter of six they were closing in ten minutes. At five til, we were getting the evil eye from the owner and employee.

When we checked out, I told the owner I too had owned a business and when customers were shopping it was rude to tell them to leave, I don't care what time it is. She said it was presumptive of me to expect her to stay, and she had an appointment. She told me she had a fabulous business and was very successful, told me to leave, and never come in again, No worries you witch, I never will and neither will anyone else I know. She sells used rags for heavens sake, not Manolo B's at retail. Her snobby B***h attitude does not cut it for me. She has some issues and they have nothing to do with retailing.

UNETHICAL, INSULTING, DISHONEST, BAIT AND SWITCH. INSULT TO GOOD CONSIGNMENT SHOPS.. Dannie of Dannie Duluth misrepresented a sale of consignment furniture to me. When I called her on it she insulted me and said she never stated the claim she made to me regarding the purchase. I bought a china cabinet (or so I thought) and it ended up being the top half of a china cabinet being passed off as a sideboard. After discussing the matter with her, putting up with her condesending attitude and insults, she agreed to credit the purchase. She did not issue the credit. Also, she stated that I was not to ever come into her shop again. This, after being a customer for 4 years. If it is not Dannie's way, it is no way.

Also, I owned a consignment shop in another state 15 years ago and know the business. She is very unethical and I would certainly never give her anything to consign. She gives cuts at random without a policy and the consigners never know exactly what they are being paid for. I totally agree with bgoodrich in her statement in 2007, Dannie is not to be trusted by consigners.

Make sure you do not pay her until you pick up the merchandisel. And, never expect a refund. She states that there are no refunds, but legally she must give you some type of credit. This one will end up in Court, I am sure!

Best Consignment shop. I am a frequent shopper of Dannie Duluth and have been for years and I love the store! I always find good items when i shop in there. I also consign there and make good money for my items. The store is always clean and the music is relaxing. I know the clothes there are inspected carefully for stains, spots or any flaws and are marked on the tag if there is a problem with them. I also know she carries expensive high end cloths from Californea such as Escada, Worth, Armani an many more name brands as well as normal brands from local stores, but at better prices than the mall or the retail store they came from. I am a regular at Dannie Duluth along with sveeral other people I know who shop there weekly and are happy with there clothes they buy and the money they are able to save! Also many people compliment the clothing that i get from there when i wear it which makes me feel great to let them know I got it at Dannie Duluth.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I have shopped at Dannie Duluth since the store first opened years ago. It's fun to shop in a store with brand name clothes for such cheap prices. I have spent my time in other 2nd hand stores and find I leave feeling dirty after touching the used clothing and have even found my allergies worsen to the point where I had to leave because I was sneezing so badly. This is part of the reason I like to shop at Dannie Duluth - it feels like all the articles are new, and in good condition, and the store is clean and organized. I have also consigned items at Dannie Duluth and was happy with my payment.... used it to shop again at the store! If you are looking for a fun place to shop then I highly recommend Dannie Duluth.
