Not for Pedicures. The people here are so very kind- I even tried again, but if you are going to shell out this kind of cash for a pedicure it better be amazing- and its not. The chairs are uncomfortable, especially if you're tall. The massage is great and they put on and rinse off a lot of ointments, but there is very little actual softening of callouses or getting rid of the rough patches, both times I could have put the polish on better myself, and it didn't last long either visit. I'm used to a good solid 2 coats with whatever the magic clear coat is other places put on top to make it last at least 2-3 weeks. I like to support local businesses- but I will spend my money in the future somewhere I can get a higher quality and more pleasant experience.

Love that place!. This is my new home for haircuts. They do a great job cutting for a guy. The staff is great, the atmosphere is nice, and I am getting the best haircuts that I've ever had. I've heard they do waxings there too.

Great salon, great staff. I have been going to Salon Capelli as long as they have been open and before that. Carmen has done my hair for over ten years and i would never go to anyone else. She was the only one i could find that did what i wanted and liked it. I get compliments all the time, people asking who does my hair and wanting their phone number! They are all so friendly and there salon has a very comfortable atmosphere and i would reccomend them to anyone!

What a terrible experiance! So rude.... I was the wedding planner for a wedding we did July 2009 in Duluth. We were looking for a place to have the wedding party’s nails done. When calling Salon Capelli the woman we spoke with, Roxanne, was so great we also decided to select them to do the hair for the ladies as well. So far so good… The only issue we had was one time when we had called and Roxanne wasn’t available the lady who did answer was a bit rude and didn’t really seem to understand what was going on. We just chalked that up to a fluke and called back when Roxanne was there…it was foreshadowing…not a fluke.

Upon arrival for the hair trial everything went awry. The bride was very unhappy with the service and the result of the trial. The people were rude and did not get the style the bride was looking for. She was so upset we rescheduled the entire wedding party’s hair appointments to another local salon where the bride had a great experience. If you are thinking this was Bride-zilla it wasn’t. She is a very sweet accommodating person but this salon was neither sweet nor accommodating in return.

At this point the wedding party didn’t feel comfortable going there for the 6 manicures and 3 pedicures scheduled the day before the wedding. As the wedding planner I called and spoke with Roxanne who was VERY apologetic and courteous. She explained that this was not their way of doing business and that she hoped everything went well. At this point I felt terrible that things didn’t work out…until

About 10 minutes later the OWNER of the salon called us and began lecturing us on the needs of a small business and how she was counting on this business. There was no apology or attempt to win the business back (which frankly was possible at that point) but instead she was venting on us and in while we were explaining our side she HUNG UP ON US!!

As a small business owner myself, I completely understand acquiring and retaining customers and how important it is, HOWEVER you must EARN your business in everything you do. Simply getting a blind appointment does not entitle you to anything. If a customer has a great experience you can count on repeat business and probably additional business from friends…if you treat a customer poorly you may lose a lot more than just that one customer. Small businesses thrive on service and word of mouth advertising…the service was horrible and thus this “word of mouth” advertising. The other reviewer apparently had a great experience so all we can say is proceed with caution.

BEST SALON IN TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This salon was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone there is so nice, and I had the best time I ever had getting my hair done... They also carry Bumble products, which you can't find any where else in Duluth,,,, I definitly will be returning there.... From the moment I walked in to the end of my appointment was great.
