Impressed by the professional service and friendly staff. My three kid, my wife and I all get our eyes checked at Troy M Powers and Assoc. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Dr. Powers has always taken the time to answer any questions we have, told us the options, and provided a thorough eye exam. We have found his knowledgeable advice on Macular degeneration , Lasik surgery and other issues to be very helpful in making decisions that effect our vision. After 15 visits between us, all my visits there have met and exceeded my expectations. For us this is the only place to go for our eye care.

Argumentative Mr. Powers. I also had a very negative experience with Dr. Powers himself. I had a checkup, and when my $600 Rx glasses came, I was seeing double out of one eye. When I asked him if the Rx was wrong, or my glasses, he checked both, and told me that the Rx and the glasses were both correct and matching, and that it was just my eyes. Ok, I thought, so I asked him, "Is this something that will get better over time wearing the new prescription." and he responded, "It's hard to say, but you don't question your family physician about the prescription they give you, do you? If you don't like the Rx, go back to the old one. " When I asked him if he would then help me mitigate the cost of new lenses (i.e. would he ask the people in Lenscrafters to cut me deal) he said, "No, I don't have that kind of relationship with them."

The best. The staff were helpful and informational. They were able to get me in for an exam right away. The doctor's were wonderful. I would recommend setting up an eye exam with them if you were looking to get your eyes checked. They are a little pricier than others, but they do more than just give you a glasses rx. They look at the health of the eye and take the time to explain their diagnosis.

WORST CUstomer Service. This place is such a joke - they have very unprofessional, rude, unethical and a lying staff. My account is at zero in which they have told me, but then other "monkey" around there is saying I still owe, and I have insurance, and they have paid their portion as well. Then....NEVER, I repeat NEVER take their word, when they say they are going to call when something comes in - THEY NEVER WILL and they will lie to you saying that they have - and I've reconfirmed the phone number, and have caller ID. So if you are waiting for your lenses - I hope you have about a 6 month supply, it may take them even longer. SO NEVER GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS - THEY ARE A BUNCH OF ANIMALS THAT DON'T HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT THEIR POLICIES OR JOB DISCRIPTION IS.
